Made with ingredients you probably already have in your cupboard, this no bake recipe is made in 10 minutes and guaranteed to be a quick crowd pleaser!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Servings: 16 Squares
Course: Dessert, Snack

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Marie Biscuits
  • 1 Cup Cake Flour
  • ½ Cup Melted Butter Salted butter is fine
  • ¼ Cup Desiccated Coconut
  • ½ Cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • ⅓ Cup Cocoa Powder If you want it less chocolatey, use light cocoa powder
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Essense
For the Topping
  • ⅓ Cup Melted Chocolate Cooking chocolate will do
  • 1 Tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Cream

Equipment

  • 1 Pot To melt the butter
  • 1 Tray 20 cm x 20 cm will do

Method

  1. Crush the Marie Biscuits finely
  2. In a large bowl, combine your crushed biscuits, cake flour, desiccated coconut, and cocoa powder. Mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution.
  3. Then add the melted butter, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir until the mixture is sticky, and a cohesive dough forms. Don't be shy about using your hands to mix the dough more evenly.
  4. Next, press the mixture evenly into the pan, smoothing the surface with a spatula or the back of a spoon. Make sure that you have greased the pan with oil, butter or Spray n Cook. You can also use baking paper.
  5. Melt the chocolate with butter in a microwave or double boiler, stirring consistently to ensure it doesn't burn. Just before all the chocolate is melted, add the cream. Pour the melted chocolate over the brownie base, spreading it evenly.
  6. Pop the brownies in the fridge for about 2 hours, and then cut into squares and enjoy your new favourite quick chocolatey treat!
